About Swiftieism

The idea for Swiftieism began in 2023, as a way to explore what an analog relationship to a famously digital fandom might look like. At the heart of our desire to create this zine is the idea in fandom theory that—for many women and girls especially—fandom is a sacred space where they can experience levity from their otherwise marginalized place in society. The title of this zine is a tongue-in-cheek take on this idea and the way many of us idolize Taylor to the point of religious worship. The Taylor Swift fandom is incredibly diverse, and our greatest strengths are our unabashed emotion and passion. We all love Taylor, but this is a compilation and celebrations of all things you and your specific relationship to her. The more personal, niche, introspective, melodramatic, conflicting, or silly, the better.

Swiftieism was founded by Vi (@godofsmallthings on Tumblr). The first edition of the zine is available as a free digital download and a paid physical copy. There's a limited first printing of 50 copies, so get yours quick! Profits will be used to pay back production costs. If it sells well, any additional profits will be donated to helping families evacuate from Gaza (fundraiser will be decided via Gaza Funds spotlight campaign at time of donation).
